William Bynum, Oroville Pollinators Project

Date grant awarded: 2/28/2017

The Oroville Pollinators Project hopes to develop a demonstration pollinator garden at Oroville’s Centennial Plaza, California. By planting nectar rich natives and hosting plants for insect larvae, Save Oroville Trees—in partnership with Butte Environmental Council—hopes to attract native pollinators threatened by human impacts including the rapidly declining monarch butterfly.

The project will expand and reinforce the aim of enhancing our community’s natural beauty, developing an educational garden space, strengthening bonds with city leaders and community members through park stewardship, and promoting wise water use.
