Vasanthi is the co-founder of an organization in India that strives to plant a seed of empathy for people, compassion towards animals and a respect for the environment through humane education in schools.  Compassionate Classrooms will introduce humane education contents into the curriculum in classrooms all over India through advocating at the state board level (up to 10,000 classrooms impacted for each state board that they impact).  The first of the 35 state boards that Compassionate Classrooms will target is the state of Karnataka.  Pollination Project funding will support curriculum creation, translation into the local language, and travel to meetings with state board members.
