Ngwang Yvonne Nsa-ah – Training Youth as Literacy Ambassadors of Nigeria

Date grant awarded: January 24, 2019

Training Youth as Literacy Ambassadors of Nigeria is an initiate of Mrs. Ngwang Yvonne Nsa-ah to train youth in adventure thinking and writing. Students will use the skills gained during the training program to write story books that will be recommended for use in schools and families all over the country. Due to high illiteracy rates in Nigeria, which accounts for more than 70% of youth restiveness, this project will help to motivate young people to read, thus curbing violence, lawlessness, kidnapping, civil unrest, religious and ethnic tensions, arms insurgence, cultism etc.

Grant funds from The Pollination Project will enable Ngwang to rent a training space, obtain training materials, produce storybooks, copyright registration, advertise, and distribute of books.
