Jean Paul Ambeazieh, Economic Empowerment of Single Mums and Widows Through Sustainable Integrated Farming

A group of men and women stand in a maize field.

Women in Cameroon supply approximately 90% of the food for the population, yet the farming practices and techniques used are unsustainable and unprofitable to empower them economically. To build the capacities of women and to engage them in sustainable practices, Jean Paul Ambeazieh has created the Economic Empowerment of Single Mums and Widows Through Sustainable Integrated Farming project in Ngie, Cameroon. Beneficiaries will be engaged in workshops that allow for hands-on training in addition to being provided certified, high yielding maize and groundnut seeds.
