For many young people, the contemporary search for happiness, fulfillment, and belonging is reflected in an increase in stress and feelings of isolation. In New York City, Erica Fugger founded the Wake Up Oral History Project to share the experiences of Millennials who practice mindfulness as a way of fostering positive mental health and building community. This multimedia interview project draws inspiration from the teachings of Vietnamese Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh to encourage a generation of compassionate listeners, connect youth with local meditation groups, and record the history of the international Wake Up movement.
