Elizabeth Klosky, NY is a Great Place to BEE: Educate – Legislate – Populate!

Date grant awarded: February 23, 2016

Despite her youth, Elizabeth Klosky is passionate about helping the environment and working towards sustainable agricultural practices. Her project NY is a Great Place to Bee! creates compassion for bees while helping people, especially youth, take positive steps to support the bees. Working primarily through educational activities such as native bee-house building and wildflower seed bundle-making at community conservation events, the project will populate the state with healthy bee colonies, well-informed bee lovers, and oases of native wildflowers to provide greater variety of food for the bees.
