Azah Jackline Chey and Abai Victor Asondo – Hygiene to Safe Lives and Money

Date grant awarded: January 16, 2019

Hygiene to Safe Lives and Money project is designed to curb the spread of diseases due to poor hygienic practices perpetrated in over crowded Camps of the Cameroon Development Corporation in Fako Division, South West Region of Cameroon. Azah Jackline Chey is the Coordinator and Team leader of Bridgers Association Cameroon with the mission to empower women and girls through advocacy. She takes her team to the field where through practical illustrations they raise awareness on the impending danger of living under poor hygienic conditions.

This project is important as it creates a clear cut nexus between poor hygiene and the rampant spread of diseases in over-crowded Camps.
