Atim Mbah Patience, Green Farmlands

Date grant awarded: 1/23/2017

Green Farmlands is a project by Atim Mbah Patience set up to improve small scale farmers yield in Batibo Cameroon, by addressing the expressed need of these farmers to boost their production. Atim believes that by training farmers on new, improved and adaptable farm techniques, they can solve the problem of yield quality and quantity. Green Farmlands thrives to achieve this through Farm Field Schools with experts to train and encourage farmers to adopt new, improved and adaptable farm techniques that help them grow more with less fertilizers and costly inputs while preserving natural resources for future generations. Our work at Green Farmlands starts with need identification during which we visit communities and talk with farmers to understand needs specific to that community and then design solutions that are of use to that community.
