Edelson Arano Dulang, Mobilizing Youth For Environmental Protection And Rehabilitation, Lanao del Norte, Phillipines

by | Nov 2, 2017 | What Does $1000 Do?

Our partnership with The Pollination Project has been a big help not only in our village but also to the neighboring village, where we expanded the planting of mangrove seedlings. The Philippines are experiencing more than twenty typhoons every year due to climate change, and this project helps us care for our environment by planting, parenting and nurturing these seedlings. Through the support of TPP, we have been recognized by local officials and community, showing that the youth have great role to play in the community and in saving our Mother Earth.

Through this partnership, we are supporting active participation of the youth, school, community and other stakeholders. Many of those involved have expressed an enthusiasm for the good of our environment and a desire that the community and project be sustained and taken care of.
