In a harrowing twist of fate, Rose became a survivor of human trafficking, entrapped in a nightmarish world of exploitation after being sold as a slave by her very own cousin. What was promised as a teaching job in Kuwait turned into an unimaginable ordeal of human suffering and exploitation. But Rose’s resilience would not be extinguished.

Upon her return to Cameroon, Rose made a profound decision that would forever alter the course of her life. She resolved to dedicate her existence to the empowerment of women, to raising awareness about the insidious forms of human trafficking that plague communities, and to championing the cause of human rights in both urban and rural areas of her homeland.

With a grant from The Pollination Project as her catalyst, Rose embarked on a transformative journey. She initiated a series of educational workshops, community sessions, and the creation and dissemination of informational materials that shone a light on the paramount importance of safe migration and the crucial ability to recognize the sinister workings of traffickers.
