The Pollination Project grant gave me confidence and helped me believe in our work…I feel the formal grant helped our small community engage and support the reforestation activities, especially since there are organizations outside of Nicaragua supporting sustainability in our community. The Pollination Project was a gift in that it pushed me to be a leader in my community. I believe I can train others to continue promoting reforestation projects that have a positive impact on their community. I also learned an important lesson: I can help others be agents of change.
The work funded by this grant allowed me to escalate my own consciousness while also continuing to work for my home community…The Pollination Project allowed me to introduce my community to other countries and learn from work that other environmental leaders are achieving in other countries. Serving the community has made me feel like I am sowing love for the environment. By planting a tree, we are sowing awareness while preparing a better future for generations to come.
