Project Description: The GROW-HARVEST-SHARE: SEEDS FOR EVERYONE Project is a Community Seed Library located in Guanajuato, México, in collaboration with the NGO Sustainable Harvest International. There is a need for new ways to share information: for generations, the art of seedsaving was passed from one generation to the next through oral traditions and practical experience. Today, there is now a gap. Those interested in seedsaving don’t necessarily have a mentor readily available (previously grandparents and elders).

Through this project, plant biologist, agroecologist, visual artists and project coordinators promote the ancestral practice of seed saving through the creation of GROW-HARVEST-SHARE: SEEDS FOR EVERYONE, an illustrated seed saving manual designed to share these skills to all. This project will distribute the manual to more communities and schools within our practical seedsaving workshops which also embrace the art to promote seedsaving.
