Oyele Peter, Education for Children in Kampala, Uganda
Oyele Peter is committed to the education of children living in the rural countryside of Kampala, Uganda.
For the past several years, Oyele has run a school for local children, personally funding the school’s operations out of his own pocket. Although running the school is quite costly, Oyele’s commitment to serving as a community leader and educator outweighs his personal financial concerns.
Thanks to his selflessness and passion for community service, The Pollination Project is proud to award Oyele with a Flow Fund Grant to support his efforts in Kampala. With the help of the support he receives, Oyele will be able to provide village children and their families with books and reading materials. The new books will span a variety of topics and genres and will be housed in the school’s small reading library.
