Date grant awarded: 1/31/17

STEM Club project is an initiative created by InspireIT Founder, Nuela Adanna Ononiwu, to encourage more young girls in primary and secondary schools to learn basic programming skills and build strong foundations in science subjects. InspireIT is a free global mentoring program for young girls and women studying or interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

The project seeks to address the growing lack of interest in science subjects among many young girls in primary and secondary schools. The project is targeted at young girls aged 7 to 11 in primary schools and young girls aged 12 to 18 in secondary schools. Through this project, young girls will meet like-minded people, talk about their challenges, learn as well as share their interests and curiosity.
