Nicholas Kithinji Gitari and Patricia Wambui Njogu, Vijana na Kazi Project (Youth Job Creation Project)

A sign is pictured that says,

For the past ten years, youth unemployment in Kenya has been on the rise, with a current statistic of 17.4 percent. In the country’s central town of Kirinyaga, Nicholas Kithinji Gitari and Patricia Wambui Njogu have established Vijana na Kazi Project (Youth Job Creation Project) with the intent to train youth on how to use ceramic tiles to produce wall plaques as a source of income. The initiative is intended to achieve two goals, to create an avenue for youth job creation and to encourage youth to use environmentally friendly materials for wall plaques.
