Date grant awarded: 3/10/2017

Undocumented, Unafraid, Unsilenced, United Club (4U Club) is a student led club with the mission statement to Empower undocumented students through financial, academic, and emotional support. We also want to educate others, create stronger allyship, and build power between people of different legal statuses.

This club is coordinated by Guadalupe Vela Orozco and Jairo Kirk, two seniors at June Jordan school for equity. This club is partnered up with E4FC (Educators For Fair Consideration), and due to this the seniors who lead this club have a mentor, Angelica Vargas, who helps them organize the meetings. The project for this club is to fundraise to give out a scholarship to undocumented students who are graduating from high school.

We also have a field trip planned to Sacramento. In this field trip students from different Dreamer clubs in SFUSD will build community with each other to create networks among schools and organize together.
