Charles Orgbon – Herramientas para jovens agentes de cambio
In order to protect Colombia’s biodiversity for generations to come, the country’s youth must be equipped with the know-how to create meaningful, local environmental projects. After having founded my non-profit organization, Greening Forward, at the age of 12-years-old and thereafter creating an award-winning blueprint for training young environmental leaders, I bring unique experiences with me as I partner with a Bogota-based organization, People and Earth, to organize bilingual environmental leadership workshops.
Through these series of workshops, People and Earth and myself will work to turn what could be seedlings of interest in environmental activism from Colombian youth into full-fledged community campaigns that solve the root cause of local environmental issues. We will discuss fundamental environmental challenges unique to Colombia, and how they can be a part of the solution.
