Date grant awarded: April 20, 2016

In Manaslu, Nepal, the mountain frog species, paha, are threatened due to their popularity in recreation, trade and as a delicacy. Biraj Shrestha is a recent recipient of a flow fund for his project, Save the Frogs of Manaslu Conservation Area, which will provide community members a workshop about amphibians and their role in the ecosystem and the threats to them. The event will coincide with a long-term monitoring effort of the amphibian population in the area.
