Awah-Mbang Richard Ndikum – Building a Four Room Toilet

Date grant awarded: August 16, 2018

Awah-Mbang Richard Ndikum is the founder of the project, “Building a Four Room Toilet”, located in Yoke, Muyuka, Cameroon. Two of the rooms will be dedicated to over 2000 students at the Government Technical High School Muyuka, and the other two will be constructed for teachers at the school. Currently, there is a student population of over 2000, and a staff of 120; however, there is not one toilet in the school.

This project will be fulfilling two main objectives: building the toilet for the students, and the second objective tackles lack of access to gender sensitive sanitation, which creates a host of health problems. The primary goal is to build a toilet facility that can be continuously used and maintained by the school.
