Ana Farías, Escuela Para Mujeres
Women living in slums face poverty, violence, discrimination, and lack of access to basic rights. In spite of that, they usually organize amongst themselves to better deal with these and other problems. Escuela Para Mujeres is a project that boosts these organizing efforts, so they are better equipped to work together to resolve them, demand their rights when needed, strengthen their networks, and provide support to other members of the community. Parvada -founded by Ana Farías and Ali González- is the driving force behind this project, which serves Guadalajara’s Metropolitan Area (Mexico).
