Akash and team – V for Non-violence

Date grant awarded: August 3, 2018

“V for Non-violence” is a series of short videos aimed to introduce veganism and the animal rights movement to an increasingly curious world. The team is comprised of passionate and dedicated young animal-rights activists from Bangalore, India. Akash Narendran, who is also directing the videos, was inspired to start the initiative to bring easily accessible and research-backed information on the need for justice for non-human animals. The aim is also to frame veganism as a social justice movement, and to demonstrate how violence across the world (as well as its hopeful eradication) are ultimately linked.

The grant from The Pollination Project allows the team to create high-quality videos with a far-reaching impact. It also inspires the possibility of more content creation work with respect to social justice.
