Amy Bramlett, Hot Springs School District Dance Program, Hot Springs, Arkansas

by | Sep 1, 2015 | What Does $1000 Do?

I cannot express to you how you have impacted my life and those of my students. Your generosity has enabled me to give my students more than just shoes and dance wear. You have gifted them confidence, hope, and humility.

My students are strong, but sometimes come from households where they do not see bright futures or even running water.

They may not have the positive role models or the feeling of self-worth. What you have done for them is more than provide dance shoes and attire. You have provided them with light- a light that shines bright in their lives of dark abuse, neglect, and poverty. Because of this grant, you have given them the opportunity to be proud as they practice and perform for the community. This pride will undoubtedly bring confidence and dedication, and will influence them to succeed in other academic and non-academic settings.
