After the earthquake, many people lost hope. Our village, Kumari, was being completely neglected by the government and received no aid. For my Nepali team, knowing that they hadn’t been abandoned by the outside world was so incredibly important. This grant allowed me to bring something of incredible value to this village and it really affected our level of trust with eachother. They knew the funds were coming from PP and came away with a very positive attitude towards the U.S. and the kind of people they perceive to come from our country.
