The lack of awareness of the existence of the laws pertaining inheritance and lack of understanding of the provisions in these laws is one of the main reasons responsible of the violation of widows inheritance rights in Sierra Leone. The project will addressed these gaps by training widows on the all laws in order to enable widows to challenge practices that have deprived them.
This project trains and funds underserved women to start or scale-up their micro-businesses as well as training women in making, sewing and selling eco-friendly, plant-based tie and dye fabrics.

Our work operates on the foundation that food sovereignty and security are deeply rooted to a community. We use a community-based approach to promote seed conservation. To that end, since 2015, we have distributed seeds and educational material to a diverse group of people, farmers, urban gardeners, kids, etc, along as workshops, seed swaps, exhibitions and seed keepers meetings.

I want people to know that creating awareness around these issues among at risk youth and parents can help bring change in the community. Kisumu Talent Club uses music, dance, sports, and poetry to create awareness about these topics and offers counselling as a way of developing character of young girls and boys to keep them away from destructive activities.

Thus, we founded See Beneath, Inc. and embarked on our mission to engage and educate children with ASD by creating and providing innovative tools that foster positive change and help children reach developmental milestones.
Our project and organization seeks to counter loaded rhetoric, which creates a toxic atmosphere for many immigrants and leads to heightening anxiety. By providing culturally sensitive legal advise in a language they understand, we assist immigrants to assert their rights as they strive to become good and neighbors.
We provide accessible gardening space, free organic community produce, and education opportunities. In 2019, we will engage more than 1000 people in 224 community work days, and over 100 hours of diverse educational programs.
Through increasing access to free study facilities, textbooks, coaching, and tutors for poor children and young people especially girls, and skills training for poor youth and women, this project aims to give a concrete possibility of social and economic empowerment to the adults of tomorrow and to all their families.
