Wolf Patrol – Wildlife Crimes Unit

Date grant awarded: April 2, 2018

Grantee Name: Wolf Patrol
Project Name: Wildlife Crimes Unit
Grant Location: Grand Rapids, MI, USA

Project Description: Wolf Patrol is a citizen’s monitoring project investigating & documenting controversial hunting practices that negatively impact federally protected gray wolves in Wisconsin. Our Wildlife Crimes Unit project is responsible for investigating illegal activities committed against public trust wildlife, and works closely with state and federal law enforcement to help bring poachers to justice. Founded in 2014 by Rod Coronado, Wolf Patrol has become the target of state legislators supported by the gun lobby, who desperately are attempting to silence our efforts to expose injustices committed against wildlife on our public lands by recreational hunters, trappers and houndsmen.
