Vweta Chadwick, ASHA Sheroes Academy

In recent years, Nigeria has been at the center of everyone’s attention, from the Chibok kidnapping, Boko Haram’s assault on the psyche of nationhood, volatile crude oil market and other development challenges. In Lagos, Nigeria, Vweta Chadwick has created ASHA Sheroes Academy, a community-based initiative geared towards the education, empowerment and social inclusions of vulnerable girls, disadvantaged single mothers and PWDs. The project will build on participants existing skills while inculcating vocational life skills that will ultimately result into apprenticeships, employment and loan accessibility.
