Tracy Murphy, Asha’s Country Jamboree

Tracy Murphy, Asha's SanctuaryTracy is a community organizer, founder of the Buffalo Vegetarian Society of Buffalo, NY and also founder of Asha Sanctuary, a rescue sanctuary for abused farm animals.  Asha Sanctuary will be hosting the first Country Jamboree that includes expert vegan speakers, a vegan dinner, silent auction and live performances from country musicians.  Tracy has a long track record for producing and promoting compassionate events that inspire participants to adopt more humane, animal-friendly lives.

Asha’s Country Jamboree will be held on September 21, 2013 at the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Lockport, NY and be promoted as an all day, fun and educational event.  It will raise community awareness on farm animal abuse and encourage the adoption of a plant-based diet. The event will also feature Asha Sanctuary’s efforts in building their first barn to rescue hens that suffered in battery cage operations with all proceeds from the event funding the barn project.

Asha’s Country Jamboree will target non-vegetarians, vegetarians, vegans, and non-vegetarian animal advocacy groups.
