Tangko Hanson Ngwene Nkwelle – Mushroom cultivation as a means of livelihood for Internally Displaced Widows/Youths in Bamenda

Date grant awarded: February 8, 2020

Due to the ongoing anglophone crisis in Cameroon, many people have been forced to leave their homes and have lost their economic power. As a humanitarian, I was inspired by their plight to carry out this project which will educate, empower and build the capacities of these victims (widows/Youths) of the Civil unrest in the Anglophone Regions. This work will provide internally displaced peoples with self-dependence and provide them with alternative income generating activity through mushroom cultivation to improve their standard of living.
