Sandra Owusu-Gyamfi, Saving the Iconic Togo Slippery Frog to Save Livelihoods

SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana is West Africa’s first nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to amphibian conservation. We have a mission to protect Ghana’s amphibian populations and to promote a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife. We therefore, organize educational events and capacity building workshops to empower local people and the youth to develop their knowledge and skills in amphibian conservation. We observe Save The Frogs Day, the world’s largest day of amphibian education and conservation action, annually to bring together people from all walks of life and encourage them to appreciate amphibians. This year, we will organize the day within communities fringing the Atewa Range Forest Reserve in Ghana, home of the Critically Endangered Togo Slippery Frog
