Same Skies, Healthy Lives & Happiness for Refugee Families in Limbo

Date grant awarded: June 12, 2016

Refugees in transit countries often wait several years to be resettled, resulting in a loss of work and access to basic human rights, factors that have a lasting impact on their physical and mental health. Same Skies has established the Healthy Lives & Happiness for Refugee Families in Limbo project in Bogor, Indonesia to support groups of refugee volunteers in the design and implementation of community health activities. Sixty refugees will be trained in delivering community based health promotion workshops, providing referrals and running regular recreation and wellness classes.
