Renata Robins and Denisse Espana, Rain Tank Project

The Palisades Charter High School Rain Tank Project was instigated by two students, Renata Robins and Denisse Espana as they sought environmental alternatives to water importation during the brutal California drought. This project will purchase and install large rain tanks, curbing urban runoff, providing water to their school’s organic community garden, and preventing flooding. One small bungalow rooftop they will be harvesting from has the potential to capture almost 5,000 gallons of water every year!
