P.E.A.C.E. – Compassion For All Humane Education Event

People Ensuring Animal Care Exists (P.E.A.C.E.) is a volunteer run registered charity in British Columbia, Canada. Our mission is uniting and working with farm animal sanctuaries through Resources, Rescues and Education. Through researching sustainable income models for sanctuaries it led us to help facilitate school tour program pilots for farm animal sanctuaries interested. We then saw a need for in classroom vegan humane education options for schools and connected with other vegan humane education groups locally as well as internationally to learn and see where we can help facilitate change.

“Compassion For All Humane Education Event” is important to us as it will help promote not just vegan humane education options to teachers and the public, but also plant based food options for schools, school tours offered by farm animal sanctuaries, as well as all the environmental, animal and human health implications of animal agriculture. Our headline speaker, Maddie Krasno, is the Senior Humane Educator for Farm Sanctuary USA and will be promoting their free Sustainable Future Curriculum and talking about the importance of modern day humane education.

The Pollination Project seed grant is important to our work because they are helping facilitate this first, completely vegan, humane education event. They are giving everyone the oppertunity to learn from the best, connect people who want to work together to bring about change and therefore facilitating the change we want to see in the world. Compassion for all.
