Onugians at Work – Onugpwani livelihood

Date grant awarded: September 24, 2018

Mary Oyier is the founder of the project Onugpwani Livelihood, located in Kenya. Onugpwani is a registered community based organization focusing on peace and cohesion. Their vision is to unite Kenyans regardless of color, religion, tribe, and race. The aim is to engage the youth and keep them away from drugs and illegal gangs.

With the project, they want to focus on livelihood sustainability and community engagement, and their goal is to create job opportunities. One of their main five projects focuses on creating a center for free training in tailoring and design. With the Pollination Project grant, the funds will be used to purchase machines, textiles, accessories, and more project materials.
