Niesha Davis, Young Women Reaching Accomplishable Places

Niesha Davis is photographed standing in front of greenery.

Girls who find themselves in the foster care system at the time of adolescence are often exposed to the pipeline of human trafficking. In Bakersfield, California, Niesha Davis has created the Young Women Reaching Accomplishable Places project to reach out to this demographic to provide mentorship that encourages, motivates, educates and empowers girls to set and reach goals. The girls meet weekly with trained mentors and partake in group meetings, seminars and activities related to wellness, self-esteem, hygiene, substance prevention and healthy relationships amongst others.
