NegusWorld – NegusWorld Wide Party 2017
NegusWorld Wide Party 2017 is an initiative to launch its first international youth contest. They are partnering with the Wild Child Village conscious community (“WCV”) in the Ecuadorian forest to host a two week cross-cultural exchange for 8 black students from Oakland and Paris. There, they will meet local farmers who will educate them on how to build a self-sustainable garden. This collaborative hands-on experience with nature, will broaden the kids’ minds and encourage them to create connections with cultures outside of their communities.
The man behind this project is Johwell St-Cilien, an educator, filmmaker, and philanthropist. Born and raised in Paris, France by a Haitian mother, he moved to New York City at the age of 19 to pursue a different life. He co-founded NegusWorld as an international activism movement that expanded to a non-profit organization soon after he moved to Oakland in 2015.
