Ralitsa Rano, Multicultural Leadership Project

The Multicultural Leadership Project, led by Ralitsa Rano, empowers refugee and immigrant youth in the Denver, metro and Aurora CO area. Through the program, high school students of all cultural backgrounds share personal experiences, develop skills and assume leadership roles within their community. In a group setting, students will work on identifying key personal characteristics of what it takes to be a leader across different cultures, explore cultural differences in leadership styles and learn effective communication and conflict-resolution skills. The youth will also work together in small groups on different projects of their choice to serve and empower their communities.

The Multicultural Leadership Project will start in Spring of 2016 with a group  of high school refugee and immigrant students who will receive training by a licensed mental health professional experienced in multicultural counseling.
