Kyobutungi Allen, Empowering Communities Through The Briquette Fuel Making (Clean Energy For Cooking)

Date grant awarded: 07/09/2017

Rubirizi Women’s Association for Empowerment (RWAE) was created by a motivated group of passionate graduates to give back to the community, responding to the challenges of women affected greatly by gender inequality, unemployment, diseases and other detriments in the Rubirizi District, Uganda. RWAE hopes to implement various projects in the near future, but will start with a briquette making project to conserve the environment and empower impoverished women in income generation. The Association hopes that, by empowering women and building their capacity, they can achieve the 17 sustainable development goals starting now and into future generations.
