Kelli Brown and Roger Roberts, Student Stewards and Pollination Protectors

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife report states that migratory butterfly populations are dwindling due to habitat deprivation.  Kelli Brown and Roger Roberts have dedicated themselves to addressing this through their Student Stewards and Pollination Protectors project in Tecumseh. The project gives high school environmental students the opportunity to work alongside grade school students in facilitating workshops on the importance of butterflies as pollinators while working together to construct raised butterfly beds and plant nectar producing plants.
