Justine Magara is the project manager for an innovative ceramic water filter project in Kisii, Kenya. Working with several local volunteers, Justine founded the Peace Ceramic Water Filter Project in order to eradicate waterborne illnesses resulting from unclean or contaminated drinking water.

Over the next year, Justine will construct a workshop for the manufacture of clay water filters coated in a highly potent antimicrobial compound known as colloidal silver. The filters that Justine makes will be offered at affordable rates to ensure that every home is safe from disease-causing pathogens that threaten the health and well-being of the community.
