Date grant awarded: 1/25/2017

Joe Tucker & Adam Punzano are the makers of the feature-length documentary ‘Reimagining Progress- Voices from the Ecuadorian Amazon’ which is a film being made with the indigenous Kichwa and Sapara communities of the Ecuadorian Amazon. The documentary will shed light on some of the key issues and threats currently facing the indigenous peoples of Ecuador as well as being an exploration of their hugely rich cosmovision and culture from which the filmmakers believe communities internationally can learn a huge amount from, especially in our battle to confront the threats presented by global warming and environmental degradation. The narrative of the film is told by community members themselves. There is no voice over on our part and probing interviews will make up a large part of the documentary.
