Joseph Christophe Kone – The courage women project of MARTADI

Date grant awarded: October 15, 2018

Joseph Christophe Kone is the founder of the project, The Courage Women Project of Martadi, located in Feruh Village, Guinea. The project aims to improve the quality of life for widows and other marginalized rural women so that they have access to a better future.

Rural women will receive agricultural knowledge in seed preservation as well as literacy skills to develop their French and English skills. The women will also learn cooperative business and management skills, as well as low land soil layout. This will help to build the women’s courage and increase their earnings, giving them the confidence to contribute to community development and reduce the economic hardships they face.
