Date grant awarded: November 11, 2016

Jecinter Atieno Bonyo is a teacher in the slums of Kisumu, Kenya and has noted that a parent’s level of education has a multifaceted impact on children’s ability to learn in schools. Jecinter’s strategy involves outreach, training and linking families to education officials and resources in the community.
