Grundy Resource Organization NFP, Inc., GRO Garden

Grundy Resource Organization NFP has planted a 2 acre GRO garden with 2700 plants and seeds and 7 acres of sweet corn to give free food that is grown locally to seniors, persons with disabilities, veterans, and low income families within the county and bordering communities. GRO also offers an educational component teaching clients how to grow and can foods safely. The “teach a man to fish” approach will sponsor those with a desire to learn and work in the garden with their own garden space after completing a year in the GRO program.
