Gladys Sserugunda, Juliet Special Julie – Kikuji Women’s Tailoring Project
Kikuji Women’s Tailoring project trains residents of Kikuji village in tailoring and offers free space for its members to sew client’s clothes to earn extra income. With a changing climate and prolonged drought in Kakiri, Uganda, farming is no longer an activity residents can rely on. Gladys Sserugunda has been training these women in her garage since January 2018, alongside her own second hands clothing business. Residents are provided with an alternative means to making an income.
