Gillian Squirrell, Homeless with Pets

Homeless individuals who have animal companions are one of the most underserved groups, and are often excluded from services and accommodation. Homeless With Pets developed a grass-root response to help homeless people provide the best care possible for their animal companions by offering them resources and services in Sonoma County.  They also train homeless women as peer interns to assist volunteer-veterinarian clinics, which additionally helps them develop job skills.
