Eni Hidayati, Developing Locally Relevant Coral Reef Monitoring Instrument

A 50-year old man in Labuhan, Indonesia notes, “Twenty years ago, fish were everywhere but now they are decreasing due to habitat degradation, while the village population is increasing.” Eni Hidayati is dedicated to support local youth in education and tourism as a means to conserve the coral reef ecosystem through her Developing Locally Relevant Coral Reef Monitoring Instrument project. The instruments will contain key indicators in both the local language and in pictures to store data, resulting in restoration areas.
