Emmanuel Eyoh and Ms Ima Obong Ekpo, Food for IDPS in Nigeria

Date grant awarded: November 30, 2016

For the past nine years, the activities of the Jihadist group known as Boko Haram have destroyed several communities in Northeast Nigeria. Emmanuel Eyoh and Ms Ima Obong Ekpo are establishing vegetable gardens in the community of Bornu to alleviate hunger and malnutrition through the provision of vegan meals. The project, Food for IDPS in Nigeria, is unique in that it is the only program in the region feeding people without using animals while employing locals.
