Ekuh Edmond Mbong, Sustainable Access to Education for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Old Town Bamenda
The increase in HIV/AIDS pandemic has greatly affected children in sub-Saharan African countries especially Cameroon. The number of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Cameroon is increasing at an alarming rate. These children are not only deprived of schooling, basic health care, and proper nutrition because their caregivers cannot afford to provide for them, but extreme poverty also makes them prime targets for human trafficking, sexual slavery, forceful early marriages and more. Ekuh Edmond’s project is to provide access to quality basic education for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Old Town Bamenda in a sustainable manner.
