Diana O’Brien – Random Acts of KindTrip
Kindtrips have created space for humans to connect with amazing people and to learn about the struggles and real-life hardships that we and others face. It is wholeheartedly knowing that the impact of compassion, empathy, love, and kindness should never be underestimated. The stories we share and pictures we post serve as reminders that this world is filled with goodness and that we really are in this together. We all have the opportunity, in every minute of every day, to make the world a more compassionate, empathetic, and caring place. Kindtrips have provided the opportunity for us, as people on this plant, to share ideas and inspire one another and to come together, knowing that the impact of our actions can be far greater together than if we go it alone.
Kindtrip routes are a collaborative effort that is determined by the kindness of others. Each kindtrip is a collectively driven road trip, allowing serendipity and random acts of kindness to lead the team to the next town.
Kindact areas of focus include but are not limited to: animal welfare (donations to no-kill shelters, volunteering for animal shelters), sustainability (giving out reusable bottles and totes, picking up litter), poverty (volunteering at children’s shelters/home, donating to shelters, meeting and spending time with people in safe communities, individual acts of kindness-helping fix a person’s truck to help get them home). These projects are all done with or inspired by the people who have become the kindtrip team.
