David Odunga and Simon Ambundu, Indigenous Tree Planting

Date grant awarded: October 14, 2016

Population growth in Busia, Kenya is causing environmental degradation and native trees to become orphaned. David Odunga and Simon Ambundu have thus created the Indigenous Tree Planting project to help maintain the natural forest cover and thus decrease atmospheric carbon dioxide levels. Project activities include a borehole construction, seedling collection and tree planting to help complete the African ecological circle.
